Sunday 9 January 2018 – Margaret’s Staverton Circular

It was an early start for the seventeen walkers on Margaret E’s Totnes to Staverton circular walk. The weather was cold but fair with some pleasant sunshine. It was uplifting walking along the Dart towards Staverton, and enjoying coffee on the bank  just before the woods. We crossed the river at Staverton Bridge, walked along the railway line, traversing it at Staverton. We then made our way to Barkingford. Lunch was early as we made good time, stopping at a favourite spot – the orchard at Bumpton Cross. From there it was back to Staverton Bridge, North Wood, Dartington, and the water meadow. Afterwards we went to China Blue. Thank you Margaret for an excellent ten mile walk.
