John Evans’ Memorial Walk – Saturday 7th July

A glorious day for the Saturday group to remember John as they undertook his favourite walk, from Bolberry Down to Salcombe. It was almost too hot for walking today but seven walkers managed it and made their way from the car park, along the coast path, eventually arriving at  Salcombe Sands.

What a fabulous walk!  The weather was roasting but that made us enjoy our swim and ice creams all the more. We could have been in the Caribbean!

Many thanks to Kevin who being unable to walk, acted as lunch and swim wear chauffeur to save us carrying it.  John would have appreciated that, strolling up and down in his speedos, sun-dryng himself.

We missed out on afternoon tea as the walkers hut was hosting a wedding but a kind farmer filled our water bottles for us. Couldn’t have asked for more.
