In total 27 people gathered together at the Manor Inn, Galmpton in very crisp weather, but with bright, Winter sunshine. We walked along the Dart shoreline to the Dittisham ferry only to find it was not operational due to heavy damage sustained to the quayside. After coffee along the quayside, we walked through the Greenway Estate, admiring the snowdrops, daffodils and camelias which were in flower. A sharp, steep climb to the summit of “log
hill” rewarded us with stunning views of the hills of Dartmoor covered in snow. From there we walked to Lupton house and back to Galmpton via Churston village. Many thanks to Rod and Maggie for back marking and providing everyone with delicious banana cake.
