Wednesday 31 July 2019 – Conservation Day at Ramshorn

You should have seen us. We worked our socks off, for our leader, for Dartmoor, and for all walkers. Ten members joined Bill, the Dartmoor National Park Ranger, and Roger, the Volunteer Ranger, for a day of conservation in the Bickington area below Ramshorn Quarry. The path leading to the River Lemon was considerably overgrown but the Ramblers team made short work of it, and by 3pm it was looking tidy and clear. It was a very enjoyable day and a day of achievement. Afterwards we adjourned to the Dartmoor Inn for well-earned refreshments.
