The walk this week had to be rearranged at fairly short notice and was led by Rod & Maggie W.
At the Harbour Arch in Paignton, 30 walkers turned up and we picked up another one en route so 31 in all.
It was a nice day, warm and sunny and as we walked along Paignton seafront there was much activity going on with Gig boats and a whole host of other activities. At Preston we stopped for a comfort break before climbing up to the railway bridge and through the park, once the local gas works of course.
We crossed the main road and took the kick-back path up through the woods and reached Cockington school. Here we stopped for a break and a group photo under the shade of the trees.
At the bottom of the hill we entered the woods and turned right to continue uphill before descending into Cockington where we stopped for lunch.
The route back took us through the water meadows before picking up Hennapyn Road, back to the sea front, through the park our starting point.
A very pleasant 7 mile walk in nice warm weather enjoyed by all.
