Eighteen walkers enjoyed a beautiful day, which was a relief after Tuesday’s wet Storm Brendan weather. Jenny B led the walk from the Dartington Cider Press Car Park, past High Cross, and through the Japanese Gardens. After coffee taken in the picnic area we followed the newly refurbished Deer Park wall, viewing a herd of deer in the distance. We had lunch under trees by the river, then followed the fast flowing Dart downstream on extremely muddy waterlogged paths back to the road, before returning to the car park on the path by the water meadows. The walk ended in the usual way with coffee and cakes in the café. Thanks to Jenny B for a lovely 5 mile walk.
