The forecast was not looking good so it was great to see 33 intrepid walkers turn up this week. Although the wind was brisk, the weather turned out to be kind with only one small shower and some pleasant sunshine to cheer us up. We walked the coast path towards Berry Head negotiating flooded paths, plenty of sticky mud, and even a fallen tree. Coffee on the cliff path was a fun affair, with the wind nearly whipping our cups out of our hands. Lunch at the Guardhouse provided some shelter especially for those who were kindly allowed to eat in the information centre and for those who slipped off for a warming coffee in the cafe. Wanda had baked a delicious lemon cake to celebrate David’s birthday. Thank you Wanda, and Happy Birthday David. Thanks also to Paul for back marking.
