A group of 7 set off through Bakers Park, for a surprisingly warm and dry walk after rain earlier in the morning.
At our coffee stop at West Ogwell, building work to increase accommodation was continuing at the Gaia Centre. Sadly, due to vandalism, the former Convent church was locked for the first time in many years.
Sadly also, the Church House Inn at Torbryan, although open for booking accommodation, is no longer a pub open to the general public.
On the subject of pubs, it was not a pleasant experience to walk past the severely damaged shell of The Jolly Sailor at East Ogwell, as a result of the recent fire.
However, despite witnessing these changes, it was a varied and, at least for me, an invigorating walk which everyone enjoyed.
