12 walkers met at the Kingswear Banjo bus stop.
It turned out to be a lovely sunny day despite a forecast of rain.
We followed the coast path stopping off at Mill Bay Cove for a quick break before passing through Warren Woods to Inner Froward Point and the National Trust owned lookout hut and Brownstone Battery – a large gun emplacement built during the second world war to protect Dartmouth from a German attack.
Just before Coleton Fishacre we headed inland to return to Kingswear via Coleton Barton Farm and Higher Brownstone. The walk was quite challenging in places with its many ups and downs but the scenery made up for the effort required and was enjoyed by all.
